LG was on-hand for the first-ever Entertainment Weekly Festival last weekend
Entertainment Weekly celebrated its 25th anniversary over the weekend and called on LG Electronics to help put on the first ever EW Fest presented by LG OLED. Thousands of entertainment industry veterans and celebrities were in attendance, according to LG, where the electronics giant was able to display its line of OLED TVs.
“Game-changing technologies from LG are enriching and shaping the way consumers enjoy home entertainment, so we jumped at the chance to bring our revolutionary OLED TVs to the epicenter of entertainment at EW Fest,” David VanderWaal, vice president of marketing, LG Electronics USA, said in a statement. “LG OLED delivers perfect blacks, along with intense, life-like colors, giving EW Fest attendees the opportunity to experience iconic shows of yesteryear and today on this entirely new category of television.”
At EW Fest presented by LG OLED TV, VIP attendees received exclusive access to the LG OLED TV Living Room—a “futuristic lounge” set up that allowed visitors to experience what the living room of the not-so-distant future might look like, while watching celebrity interviews, highlights of EW’s best-of the last 25 years, and a wide array of custom content.
Attendees also participated in a binge-a-thon with screenings of The Expanse, a first-look at Idiotsitter, Lucifer, and Ash vs. Evil Dead, and exclusive interviews with Aziz Ansari, Chris Carter, Ryan Murphy, and more.
