LG Electronics to celebrate the holidays with “38 Days of OLED TV” at Grand Central Terminal
LG Electronics is upping the ante this holiday season. The consumer tech company known for its smartphones and high-def televisions will be parking itself in Grand Central Terminal for the next six weeks as it celebrates “38 Days of OLED TV.”
LG will be in Grand Central Terminal as the official sponsor for this year’s 2015 Holiday Fair, where it will be displaying its OLED TVs to more than a million New Yorkers, commuters, and tourists who make their way through the transportation hotspot. And those same tourists and travelers will have a chance to win an LG OLED TV each day through December 24.
“When you see OLED for yourself, you truly understand why experts are saying that LG OLED TV is the best television available,” Dave VanderWaal, vice president of marketing, LG Electronics USA, said in a statement. “This holiday season, we’re inviting the millions of consumers that will visit the Holiday Fair to see for themselves the awe-inspiring picture quality of LG OLED TV, and in the spirit of the holiday season, we’ll offer dozens of lucky consumers the chance to bring home the joy of OLED TV through our giveaway.”
Attendees can stop by the LG booth at the 2015 Holiday Fair to learn more about the company’s OLED displays and to take LG’s Picture Quality Challenge for a chance to win an LG OLED TV. Participation requires guests to register on an LG G Pad tablet and answer a series of questions about their experience. Each day one participant will win. And as a bonus, LG said, all visitors who register will be entered to win a 39th television at the conclusion of the Holiday Fair.
LG said that its 2015 OLED 4K TVs combine the “intense detail” of 4K Ultra HD and the “superior contrast and right, accurate color that OLED provides,” to deliver a high-quality picture. The OLED displays are now available in a 55-inch and 65-inch class size in both curved and flat-panel formats, with 1080p Full HD and 4K Ultra HD resolution options.
