Legrand North & Central America Acquires Lighting & Control Solutions Company Kenall
Legrand, North and Central America (LNCA) has acquired Kenall, a manufacturer of energy-efficient, sustainable specification-grade lighting and control solutions for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, in a move it says will broaden its appeal within the lighting specification community.
Fifty-five-year old Kenall is a provider of durable and sustainable lighting solutions for high-abuse environments such as hospitals, schools, public building, food processing, transportation and correctional facilities.
Said LNCA President & CEO John Selldorff: “With the acquisition of Kenall, Legrand expands its ability to bring innovative, intelligent, and solution-oriented products to new market segments.”
“We are excited by the opportunity to leverage Legrand’s broad lighting and IoT capabilities to deliver more comprehensive solutions to our customers,” said Jim Hawkins, chairman and CEO of Kenall.
Moving forward, Kenall will remain an independently operated, self-directed company, according to the announcement.
