J&R to Open Kids Boutique
J&R Music and Computer World announced this week that it will open a new J&R Jr. Super Boutique for Kids later this month. The new store will open next to the original J&R at 1 Park Row in lower Manhattan.
The purpose of the new store is to capitalize on a recent "baby boom" in Lower Manhattan and meet demand. In addition to kids electronics, the store will carry such products as strollers; high chairs; car seats; activity centers; bags; educational toys and other childrens' categories.
“As long standing members of this community, we wanted to create an inviting space for residents to gather, share experiences and gain valuable parenting and consumer information," J&R Jr. founder Jason Friedman, son of J&R founders Joe and Rachelle Friedman, said as part of the announcement.
“Along with a large selection, exclusives and knowledgeable salespeople, J&R Jr. will offer added value through its intimate classes and workshops --for the parent and for the child. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcomed and part of the Downtown family that J&R has been so fortunate to be a member of for the last 40 years.”
