Jamieson’s Joins HTSA
The Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) buying group has added Jamieson’s Audio Video of Toledo, Ohio, to its membership.
Jamieson’s is a 23-employee family business that started in 1954 as a hi-fi shop. Current president David Jamieson began working for the company in 1977. Jamieson’s is “a full service A/V specialty retailer that not only offers products but also system design and installation,” said HTSA. Over 60 percent of Jamieson’s sales are derived from custom system design and installation; more than 90 percent of its sales involve some contact with its custom installation department.
“It is an exciting, but challenging environment for the audio/video specialist,” said Jamieson. “We believe one of the ways to thrive today is to join with the best A/V specialists, share ideas and support manufacturers who believe in our mission. Our association with HTSA and interaction with its outstanding members will help us do two things: improve the quality and efficiency of our operations to better serve our clients, and continue to expand our business.”
“David Wexler and I went to visit David Jamieson and [partner] Ric Clark two years ago and were very impressed with the store, the people, and the product mix,” said HTSA Executive Director Richard Glikes. “We are delighted to have such a fine custom retailer join our group. Good things come to those who wait!”
