James Loudspeaker will be participating in an immersive demo room on the show floor at the 2015 CEDIA Expo this week at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.
The company’s Mavericks line of premium theater speakers will be included in a lineup of supporting products used to help demo Auro 3D in booth #2805. In a separate alcove in the same booth, James will also be helping to demo Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies using its Small Aperture architectural speakers, PowerPipe subwoofers, and other James Loudspeaker products—including a new curved sound bar that will accommodate curved LED TVs and front-projection screens.
James Loudspeaker described its Mavericks theater speakers as large-format hybrid horn systems capable of ultra-high output and accurate reproduction of extreme dynamic transients. They’re designed for both premium residential and commercial applications.
According to Auro Technologies, Auro 3D is "the next generation three-dimensional audio standard. ... By fully immersing the listener in a cocoon of life-like sound, Auro-3D creates the sensation of actually 'being there'. Thanks to a unique 'Height' channel configuration, acoustic reflections are generated and heard naturally due to the fact that sounds originate from around as well as above the listener."
At the Auro 3D demo, James Loudspeaker products featured will include the MQ84A, a fully active L/C/R (featuring active crossover), and matching Mavericks surround speakers and subwoofers including the “venerable” M213. At the Dolby Atmos and DTS:X demo, the company will provide loudspeakers that are custom-built for the application, and three subwoofers, including the PowerPipe form factor, which will be located in the ceiling of the booth.
