One Voice: It’s CEDIA EXPO Time Again ...
It’s hard to believe that EXPO is upon us once again. And yet even though we’re excited, I feel this is a good time to remind all of you that CEDIA is about so much more than just EXPO.
Throughout the year there are various programs and services designed to help members grow their businesses. There’s access to the best business and technical knowledge in the industry through the expert-developed CEDIA University education.
There are legislative advocacy efforts designed to ensure that electronic systems contractors’ abilities to own and operate their businesses are not impeded upon. This is huge, and far more important than I think many members realize.
There’s also the CEDIA Finder Service, which delivers qualified leads to CEDIA-member electronic systems integrators. There are offerings and services: education, white papers, events and more. Resources are focused on driving homeowners to seek out CEDIA members for their home-technology needs. There’s the Registered Outreach Instructor program, which helps members build connections that lead to vital new revenues. And there’s so much more! It’s up to you to take advantage.
Two short years ago, I traveled to the Panamax/Furman headquarters in Petaluma, Calif., to chronicle the launch of the company’s BlueBOLT technology. Here we are a little over two years later: BlueBOLT has been a runaway success, and the company is on the verge of expanding the cloud-based power and management technology. This month, marketing director John Benz provides us with insight into where the technology has had the most effect and growth over the last two years, and what new products will be unveiled in the coming months. In future issues, we’ll delve deeper into the new products, and we’ll talk to the BlueBOLT custom integrators themselves. Stay tuned ... and safe travels to Indy. See you there!
