ihijiannounced Thursday that it has secured $1.8 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Jopeko, LLC, with additional contributions from Capital Factory, Silverton Partners, Floodgate Capital and others.
Jopeko's managing director, Joseph Kolchinsky, has joined ihiji's Board of Directors.
The purpose of the round, the company said, is "to fund next stages of growth and new product development to help manage the 'Internet of Things' (IoT.)"
"Since ihiji’s inception in 2009 we’ve been focusing diligently on the IoT market and currently have a number of new products in the development process," Stuart Rench, CEO of ihiji, said in a statement.
"As the market continues to mature and demand increases, this new investment will help expand our engineering team, allowing us to deliver these new solutions to the IoT technology professional even more quickly.”
