HTSA Celebrating New Categories, Strong Membership Ahead of Spring Conference
Home Technology Specialists of America is gearing up for a successful spring conference thanks to a potent combination of factors including the continued strengthening of the overall economy; the group’s recent addition of the lighting design, fixture, and services category; and the addition of many prominent new members and vendors to the group over the last few months.
Taking place April 3-5, 2018 at the spectacular Ritz Carlton Orlando in Grande Lakes, Florida, all indications are that this promises to be the biggest Spring Conference in the group’s history.
“HTSA members continue to amaze me with their spectacular growth, as they perennially drive the market for high-end, high-performance AV, home automation, and lighting solutions,” said Jon Robbins, Executive Director of Home Technology Specialists of America, Inc. “At this year’s Spring Conference, members will get critical information on all of our 2018 initiatives, such as our lighting design, fixtures, and services program… our process standardization initiative…and our push to attract, hire and retain the finest talent available, to name just a few. HTSA programs like these will help members continue to drive their growth in 2018.”
The 2018 Spring Conference has a packed agenda with a powerful keynote address, timely topical presentations and panels, and several training sessions centered on major group initiatives. Program highlights include:
- The conference’s keynote presentation is tentatively titled How to Attract and Retain the Right Talent with nationally-renowned speaker Jason Dorsey, co-founder of the Center for Generational Kinetics. Dorsey has received over 1,000 standing ovations for his solutions-filled presentations. HTSA members can expect meaningful and pragmatic solutions to this vexing industry-wide problem of finding high-quality candidates and retaining them for the long run.
- The conference will also include special training on the group’s recently announced lighting design, fixtures, and services initiative, presented by Tom Doherty, HTSA’s Director of New Technology Initiatives.
- There will be a special presentation for all attendees, members and vendors alike, with an update on the rapidly emerging and newly important voice control category. This session will offer the most up-to-the-minute information as presented by Alex Capecelatro, CEO of Josh.ai.
Details are still in the process of being finalized and the final agenda will include all this and much more. But something that is included in all HTSA events includes one-on-one meetings between members and group vendors and several breakout sessions where members can share best practices in several business areas. And, as always, the group builds in plenty of time for members to meet and interact with other members, as well as to have the opportunity to build strong relationships by spending quality time with the top executives of HTSA vendors.
