HTSA Announces 2015 Award Winners
During the final day of its annual Fall Conference, the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) announced the winners of its 2015 HTSA Vendor Awards.
“The members and vendors recognized this year made significant efforts to not only improve their product lines to keep pace with the changing tech landscape, but remained committed to the success of the overall HTSA organization,” HTSA said in a statement.
The Vendor of the Year award was given to Dana Innovations, the parent company of Sonance, TRUFIG, and iPort.
“Dana Innovations has been one of our most committed and involved manufacturer partners for several years, and are always willing to lend a hand to any of our members or introduce fresh ideas and best practices to the group,” Bob Hana, managing director of HTSA, said in the statement. “They have nurtured three diverse brands to lead the custom industry while bringing highly sought-after architects and interior designers into the fold.”
HTSA also recognizes one person each you who “exceeded his or her role with the organization to provide fresh business ideas, support, and a collaborative spirit.” The honoree this year was B&W Group President Doug Henderson.
“Doug’s perspective on how to listen to dealers has been a best practice from which all HTSA members and vendors have benefited,” said Hana. “He paves the way for business growth by inspiring dealers to really believe audio is cool, and it’s contagious. The consummate professional, he is incredibly passionate, and he uses that to impress the notion that we can always do better for our customers by being present in their needs.”
Other award handed out included HTSA’s Most Supportive Vendor, which went to Sony—last year’s Vendor of the Year—and the HTSA Future Leaders Award was given to two up-and-coming individuals, Brian Perreault, General Manager of Barrett’s Technology Solutions, and Carol Cornish, Operations Manager of Dallas Sight & Sound.
