Honeywell Expo Focuses on Connectivity
Honeywell held its Connect 2013 Expo in Los Angeles over the weekend, drawing more than a thousand attendees to the JW Marriott LA Live.
At the event, which brought together Honeywell's first alert, integrated systems and commercial security systems professionals in the same locations for the first time,
major topics of discussion included Honeywell's transition into a consumer company, the shift towards connectivity, and how to best adjust to and profit from innovation. Specifically, the event's presentations focused on the way customers expect connectivity and automation.
The conference included opening presentations from Honeywell executives Scott Harkins (President of Honeywell Security Products), Marek Robinson, (President of Authorized Dealer Programs, Honeywell Security Products); Alan Stoddard (Senior Director of Marketing for the Honeywell Security Group) and Ron Rothman (President Honeywell Security Group.) Throughout, Honeywell made it clear that people, technology, solutions and partnerships are what are important to the company.
In addition, attendees heard presentations from marketing expert Roy Spence, and dealers John Loud, Dave Hood and Brand Wilson.
On Saturday, Honeywell held an Awards Gala, while also handing out its Sales Frenzy and Sales Spectacular Awards.
The event included 32 sponsors, including ADI, Yale Locks and Kwikset.
