HES Adds Midwest Region Manager
Buying group Home Entertainment Source (HES) named Tim Bashford its Midwest region manager. The Midwest is the fifth region HES has awarded a manager.
Bashford previously served as a zone manager with Hitachi Home Electronics, where he spent 12 years in all. The group said he also “brings many years of retail experience to HES.”
Bashford will be responsible for implementing HES member benefits, such as group-negotiated direct manufacturer programs, member-owned warehousing through Expert Warehouse, custom installation solutions through Expert Custom Warehouse, marketing solutions through Expert Marketing, extended warranties through Expert Protection, group insurance benefits through Expert Care and human resource solutions through Expert HR.
“HES has positioned itself to provide unprecedented support for the membership when compared to other buying groups,” said Bashford. “It is my goal to work with each group member to maximize their membership benefit opportunities.”
“Tim brings industry expertise, strong character and a high level of professionalism to our organization,” said HES Executive Director Jim Ristow. “We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber join our team.”
HES’ growing list of region managers, the group hopes, will allow the each manager “to develop a more intimate working relationship with the members located in their territory,” said HES. “Group members can expect the frequency of in-field visits to increase throughout the year,” the group added.
HES, the A/V specialty division of Brand Source, boasts approximately 500 members with annual group sales of more than $1.4 billion.
