Harman will launch a new JBL Premium Finish program for its JBL DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 loudspeakers, the company said in a statement from the 2015 CEDIA Expo on Wednesday. The new program offers limited-edition, made-to-order, high-gloss painted finished for the loudspeakers.
“In addition to best-in-class sound quality, our customers appreciate a variety of bespoke design options to best fit their personal environments,” Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN, said in a statement. “The new JBL Premium Finish program adds a level of personalization to the DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 loudspeakers to match anyone’s aesthetic preferences.”
Seven custom paints are available for the loudspeakers including black gloss, polar white, rosso corsa, sapphire blue metallic, british racing green metallic, tungsten silver metallic, and JBL orange. The cabinets are painted using a positive pressure carousel that uses a multi-stage base coat/clear coat system and then finely sands and polishes the cabinets to a mirror finish.
Pricing for the limited-edition finishes is as follows:
- Rosewood: $75,000/pr
- Black Gloss: $85,000/pr
- All Others: $90,000/pr
- Cherry or Black Zebrawood: $44,000/pr
