H-P Products boosts “Dealers First” program with new builder, training, and marketing efforts
H-P Products, Inc., a central vacuum systems manufacturer, announced on Tuesday that it will enhance its “Dealers First” program with future-facing measures that are designed to prepare central vacuum dealers for the evolving market. The announcement comes as H-P Products is celebrating its 60th anniversary and looks to find ways to support the short- and long-term sales prospects of the next generation of homebuyers.
"Central vacuum dealers, like any other business, need to be prepared for the digital future,” Greg Calderone, vice president, H-P Products, said in a statement. “Our recent enhancements to the Dealers First program are about giving our partners the tools, training, and overall support they need to be successful today, and 10 years from now."
The Dealers First program is comprised of the “four key pillars” H-P Products uses to guide dealer support: exceptional business practices, marketing programs, dealer savings programs, and dealer service and support. H-P Products doesn’t delve into the exact makeup of the program, but it recently added new resources that include consumer sales videos, a website builder program, custom literature design, additional field training options, and a builder rebates program.
One of the key challenges dealers face, H-P Products said, is making central vacuum solutions appealing to younger and older homeowners. To address that, the company decided to make one of the main themes of H-P Products’ 2015 dealer meeting generational selling. And continuing off of that theme, H-P said it will promote a smart home approach to selling central vacuum installations.
"A vacuum functions the same way it did 50 years ago, but the more exciting changes are in how accessories and hose management technology has evolved to accommodate a variety of different installation challenges and lifestyle demands," said Calderone. "When consumers get a taste of central vacuum convenience, they never want to go back, so it's important for us to help create a positive first experience for our customers no matter what stage of life they are in."
