Google Debuts Project Brillo For IoT
Google at its I/O Conference this week announced the arrival of what it calls Project Brillo. Brillo, Google said, "extends the Android platform to all your connected devices, so they are easy to set up and work seamlessly with each other and your smartphone."
Brillo is Google's way of connecting the Internet of Things. Based on an early version of Android, it is meant to work with smart objects through the home.
Using the Weave IoT protocol, Brillo will work across devices and manufacturers, and is compatible with the Google-owned Nest ecosystem.
Brillo will debut this fall.
