First details around CES Asia 2016 begin to roll out
It feels like CES 2016 just wrapped up in Vegas not too long ago (because it did), but the Consumer Technology Association is already fully focused on their next major tradeshow, CES Asia 2016. The second-annual event, which will return to Shanghai from May 11-13 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, is already drumming up a ton of interest in the industry.
More than 200 companies representing 20 countries have already signed up to exhibit at the event, according to CTA. Here’s a look at some of the major brands who’ve already locked up their space on the show floor:
- Cobra Electronics
- Continental Automotive Holding
- Gibson Brands
The complete Exhibitor Directory will be available on the CES Asia website in the coming weeks.
"CES Asia brings together major companies and top level executives from a confluence of different influential industries that all touch the tech space in some way," Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CTA, said in a statement. "Companies want to be a part of CES Asia as we continue to build strong momentum and gain a reputation as the place for businesses to expand their presence in the growing Asian marketplace."
CTA said the CES Asia show floor will span some 40,000 gross square meters (20,000 net square meters) and will showcase some of the top tech across the themes of connectivity, innovation, and the Internet of Things. The global tech industry will be represented across 15 product categories ranging from 3D printing and smart home, to connected car technology and wearables.
CES Asia will also feature the recently-announced Startup Park, which will be home to the “latest ideas and innovation from budding entrepreneurs,” CTA said.
