Fibaro Adds Russound Integration, Enhancing Smart Home Experience
FIBARO, a leading global manufacturer of wireless intelligent home automation and control devices, announces integration with Russound, whole house audio market innovator. The pair have developed three plug-ins that allow Fibaro Home Center controllers, like Home Center 2, to remotely manage Russound’s XSource Streaming Audio Player as well as two of Russound’s audio systems.
“We are always working on improving our controllers with new integrations that expand features while making it easy to manage all components within one system,” said Adam Jablonski, US Systems Engineer for Fibaro. “From a custom installer’s perspective, Russound meets a very high audio standard. Whether it’s a single room setup or multi-room configuration, Russound’s integration is a seamless and reliable option while remaining cost-effective.”
Now that the plug-ins are available, Fibaro and Russound dealers can promote the two systems together and offer their customers a professional grade audio solution for their smart home. “Fibaro offers some of our dealers’ favorite automation solutions,” commented Charlie Porritt, CEO, Russound. “As we continue to expand our systems' control options, we're excited to be working with the entire Fibaro team to bring the best in distributed and streaming audio solutions to their growing platform of products."
Russound XSource Plug-in
With the XSource plug-in, Fibaro Home Center controllers can remotely manage the Russound XSource audio streamer, a multi-use streaming media solution for easy integration with external amplifiers or whole-house receivers. The XSource offers analog and digital outputs as well as built-in Ethernet connectivity.
Russound MCA-88X Plug-in
The Russound MCA-88X plug-in allows Fibaro Home Center controllers to remotely manage the Russound MCA-88X audio system, a digital multi-zone controller amplifier streamer that provides up to eight zones of distributed audio. The MCA-88X offers a variety of input options allowing users to connect up to seven individual sources (seven analog or up to three digital) in addition to its built-in XStream streamer.
