Enclave Audio Brings New Speakers to Nationwide PrimeTime
Ahead of the opening of Nationwide Marketing Group’s biannual PrimeTime event, wireless home entertainment company Enclave Audio announced that it will preview their new wireless speaker systems at the show in New Orleans. The Enclave CineHome II and CineHome PRO 5.1 channel surround sound systems will be on display for Nationwide members to experience.
A member of the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA), Enclave leverages the association’s technology to create a truly immersive, and high-performing multi-channel home theater experience that cuts out the need for wires. Setup of an enclave system takes just minutes—as we found out in a recent Unboxed review of the original CineHome HD system. More time is spent actually opening up the boxes and placing the speakers than it takes for the system to wireless sync up. At the press of a button, the speakers recognize their location, and you’re good to go.
“The explosive proliferation of Smart TV’s, streaming appliances, and gaming consoles brings into the consumer living room a virtually unlimited catalog of multi-channel content at the push of a button,” Rob Jones, Enclave Audio COO and co-founder, said in a statement. “With that comes the increased appetite for the complete multi-channel audio experience. Sound bars, while convenient to setup, simply don’t pass the test when it comes to delivering that true, immersive surround sound experience that consumers crave. These new products fulfill that craving through ease of setup, affordability, and performance that only a separates-based home theater can deliver. Retailers now have the opportunity to increase their bottom line through the ability to offer their customers a turnkey multi-channel audio solution that is affordable, sets up simply in minutes, has no speaker wires, and appeals to a wide consumer audience of movie enthusiasts, music lovers and gamers alike.”
Despite the lack of cables, the wireless Enclave systems are able to support uncompressed 24-bit, 96KHz distributed audio with latency that is below one microsecond. Achieving that level of performance with no wires and the burden of setup that comes with a traditional home theater package is a benefit that Enclave—with support from WiSA—is really able to leverage at retail.
“WiSA Certified devices, such as those from Enclave and our other member brands, remove one of the largest barriers to customer adoption by eliminating the complications of setup and deployment,” Tony Ostrom, president at WiSA Association, said in the statement. “All WiSA Certified components are engineered to work together seamlessly. With membership spanning across top consumer electronics brands, the WiSA Certified and WiSA Ready standard represents an opportunity for retailers to offer products they know will be highly compatible while enabling the highest audio resolution possible for a wide array of home entertainment environments."
Nationwide PrimeTime runs August 17-20 in New Orleans. The Enclave CineHome II system will retail for $999, and the CineHome PRO system will be available for $1,499. Both are expected to launch during the Q4 holiday shopping season.
