D+M hires grammy winner as Senior Product Manager of Voice User Interface
Kilgore is a Grammy Award winning composer and producer with several film and television scores to his name.
In his new role, Kilgore will be responsible for developing, leading and implementing the company’s voice user interface strategy across D+M’s product portfolio. He will lead the creation of business planning and strategy development for the company’s three major regions – the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific.
“Robby will work collaboratively with our global product development and engineering teams to drive the integration of VUI technology into our product road map,” Brendon Stead, SVP of Global Product Development, said in a statement.
“His experience in consumer electronics, deep knowledge of audio and voice technology capabilities, and ability to be globally collaborative make him an ideal fit for this key role. We look forward to Robby building compelling market strategies, business plans and use cases from top to bottom and are excited to have him on our team.”
Most recently Kilgore was the Chief Technology Officer at Catapult.org where he was responsible for building and launching a global crowdfunding platform dedicated to gender human rights.
Prior to that, he was the Creative Director at Nuance Communications, leading multi-disciplinary teams for the company’s largest clients. Earlier in his career, Kilgore held a number of positions including VP Design for Art Technology Group, SVP Content Development for NetSage and Creative Director for the Social Interface Group at Microsoft.
Kilgore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Composition, Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. He spent his early years as a musician in New York, playing live as well as on hundreds of records with musicians including Steve Winwood, Mick Jagger, James Taylor, Eric Clapton and Cyndi Lauper.
