Denon Receivers Get Windows 7 Compatibility
Denon Electronics said Monday that several of its advanced A/V receivers are compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.
Several of the devices- AVR-4310CI (MSRP: $1,999), AVR-3310CI (MSRP: $1,499), AVR-990 (MSRP: $1,499), AVR-4810CI (MSRP: $2,999) 9.3 channel multi-zone A/V receiver and the ASD-51W (MSRP: $299) and ASD-51N (MSRP:$249)- have passed Microsoft-designed test and been certified Windows 7-compatible.
"Denon engineers have made web access and interconnectivity high priorities in many of our advanced components, and we are delighted to be able to announce official compatibility with the new Windows 7 operating system," Denon's director of product development and systems integration, Jeff Talmadge, said as part of the announcement.
"Windows 7 compatibility will let users dramatically expand their home entertainment universe and explore all kinds of exciting new options. With Windows 7’s ‘Play To’ feature for example, users will be able to stream music, video and photos to any compatible device on their network quickly and easily, without any complicated setup procedure.”
