Dana Innovations Celebrates 30 Year History At CEDIA EXPO 2013
Highlights at the Dana Innovations press conference included two new response-to-integrator- requests Sonance SoundBars. Featuring a patent-pending tool-less width adjustment system, the two models will allow the installer to perfectly match the width of any display between 50 and 80 inches (diagonal). This unique design will eliminate the need for custom manufacturing and associated lead times, as well as accommodate changes in the display specification or on the job site. Built on the technology developed for the next generation Visual Performance Series, the Sonance Soundbars feature the world's first true three-way design that incorporates six 4.5" Kevlar + Nomex laminated Woofers and three coaxial design Kevlar + Nomex laminated Midranges with powder coated Aluminum Dome Tweeters.
Also impressive was a demo of the VP66 in-wall part of the next generation of Visual Performance Series. Pitted against two major well-known in-wall competitors all in the $750 a pair price range under exact circumstances, the VP66's more than held their own; they sounded great. Sonance will showcase the full range of over 50 new models on the exhibition floor and a dedicated listening room. Highlights include an award-winning one-piece mictrotim grille, breathtaking sonic performance, cutting edge technology, and solutions for a consistent aesthetic in every room, and in every application. All Visual Performance speakers include independently pivoting drivers, forward-placed high excursion woofers, and extremely linear suspension and magnetic fields.
