D-Tools taps Randy Stearns as its new CEO
Randy Stearns has been hired to serve as the new CEO of system integration software provider D-Tools Inc. Stearns, who started in his new role on September 1, was the founder and president of Engineered Environments and has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the industry.
Stearns later led Engineered Environments and numerous other industry groups through a consolidation effort that resulted in the formation of VIA International, Inc. There, Stearns served as CEO of VIA through 2014.
“We are pleased to welcome Randy to our executive team in this critical leadership role,” Adam Stone, Founder of D-Tools, said in a statement. "This key executive appointment represents D-Tools’ commitment to driving the future of its business and completing its transition to a true SaaS and enterprise software company.”
Stone, who served as D-Tools’ CEO prior to Stearns’ hire, will continue with the company as its Founder and Chairman, he explained. But he will focus more on specific strategic initiatives involving product and process improvement.
