CustomRetailer Seeks "Young Turks"
CustomRetailer has launched a new annual feature spotlighting the Young Turks of CE. The feature, which will celebrate "the industry’s best and brightest who live the lifestyle and buy the products advertised through social networking sites and other new media," CustomRetailer editor-in-chief Maureen Jenson said.
The feature is open for nominations now, and those selected will be featured in the January 2010 issue of CustomRetailer magazine. Eligibility for Young Turks are not limited by age.
“Entertainment and communication is where young consumers spend their disposable income and new products address that change and demand,” Carol Campbell, Publisher of CustomRetailer and the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles publications, said. “The talent pool of young and the young at heart within our industry understands what the next generation wants and we are excited to acknowledge that fresh energy and enthusiastic attitude emanating from the talent pool of the industry, regardless of age."
“The new era of custom installation entrepreneurs will be forming their A/V companies around IP-based technologies, integrated services covering networking and control, remote access, portable connectivity and control systems integrating IT skills into the recipe for success,” Jenson added.
