Crimson AV Shows Installer-Friendly Mounts at CEDIA Expo
At CEDIA Expo 2012, Crimson AV President and mount expert, Vlad Gleyzer, showed off highlights from the company's more than 200+ SKUs. New products included solutions for large venues, setups with multiple displays, digital signage, projector mounts, and universal tilting mounts.
Crimson has two new projector mounts that are shipping now. The JR is a 4 point mount, and the JR2, a 12 point mount for heavier systems. The new JR3 will ship in November and can be adjusted without tools, a simple lead screw adjustment can precisely change the pitch and roll of the projector.
New AU42 and AU65 flatscreen mounts now feature one of the thinnest articulating arms in the world, which extends from a nearly flush 1.09" out to 20." Made from steel and aluminum, it can support up to 80 pounds and TV sizes from 30"-65". It has a proprietary security lock for public installation, yet also features quick release.
Glayzer has been working with mounts for 15 years, and draws on that experience to make sure Crimson products are designed with installers in mind. That experience shows up in little - yet meaningful - details such as including a built-in level, allowing for post-installation adjustments with a mechanical screwdriver instead of a crank, and building all flats and tilts to work with the same chassis. The three new
universal tilting AV mounts at CEDIA are the T46A, T55A and T63A, all due in November.
The CEDIA best new product finalist, VersaFit In-Wall System is an in-wall box to hide cables, which can mount any Crimson wall or articulating mount. The VersaFit includes both a new install and retrofit junction box, making it compatible with all US electrical codes. It also comes with built-in leveling guides for 1/2" and 5/8" drywall, for installations that occur prior to the walls being completed.
