Crestron at ISE: Residential Products and More
Since the start of the ISE even in Amsterdam, Crestron has made a variety of announcements.
- The company unveiled a series of new residential products, including the 4K DigitalMedia Receiver & Room Controller w/Scaler. The product features end-to-end 4K/60 Hz switching and scaling, which is being demonstrated at the show.
“While our competitors struggle to add 4K switching support to their products, we’ve raised the bar yet again with the first and only 4K/60 Hz scaler on the market,” Justin Kennington, DigitalMedia Technology Manager at Crestron said as part of the announcement. “What makes this cutting-edge product unique is its exclusive scaler chip. We did the R&D ourselves at the Crestron Research Center. Other AV companies simply don’t have this capability. As a result, the technology can’t be found anywhere else.”
Other products included the European debut of Crestron's Pyng app and integration with the MyCrestron Cloud.
In additional Crestron announcements:
- Meyer Sound has joined the Crestron Integrated Partner Program, putting the Meyer Sound Galileo and Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management systems in compatibility with the Crestron Integrated Partners program.
- Crestron announced that its PinPoint Proximity Detection Beacon is now shipping.
- Panasonic’s 4K Ultra HD LCD Displays have received Crestron certification.
