Crestron Founder Feldstein Has Died
The founder and chairman of Crestron, George Feldstein, passed away Tuesday at the age of 73 after a yearlong battle with brain cancer, the company announced Tuesday night.
Feldstein founded Crestron in 1969, serving as CEO until he stepped down this past March, although he had remained chairman of the company.
Throughout his career, Feldstein received numerous accolades from the industry, including Lifetime Achievement Awards from CEDIA in 2007, from InfoComm in 2010 and London's AV Awards, just last month.
"His passion and love for our industry was evident in everything that he did. His influence has left an indelible mark on all those who were fortunate enough to know him," Crestron spokeswoman Joyce Bachtler said. "He was truly a great man and a great leader. We will all sorely miss him, but his spirit will live on in all that he touched."
