Crestron Announces Mobile Control and Dealer Solutions Products
The continued need for straightforward uncomplicated control solutions and a consumer base that is rapidly grasping connectivity and control was front and center at the CEA Lineshows in NYC June 22.
“Home control systems were originally for a more elite consumer, but now everyone knows what a touchscreen is and everyone knows what an app is," Crestron's Jeff Singer said during the company's presentation.
"People want the experience, the convenience and the connected lifestyle. I want to hit “goodnight”on a touchpad on my night-stand and have my lights turn off, my gear power down and my security system arm itself.
“There still needs to be a brain and control system behind these apps. The idea is to get all of your systems on the same platform to talk to each other and that's what Crestron does.
“We offer simple out of the box solutions and we have partners such as Apple, Microsoft, Cisco and more...Crestron is a real engineering company from the easiest out of the box solutions to the most complex.”
