CEA’s Thibodeaux Jumps to Computer Association
CEA’s Senior vice president of industry relations, Todd Thibodeaux, has left the industry association in order to become president and CEO of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the group announced this week. A 17-year CEA veteran, Thibodeaux will join CompTIA for a three-year transitional period July 1 before officially taking over Sept. 1. He replaces John Venator, the group’s CEO since 1989, who stepped down in order to care for his elderly parents.
Channel Vision Names VP
Channel Vision announced last week that it has named Taylor Hunter to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. Hunter, who will oversee the sales and marketing departments as well as market share and sales development, comes to the company from the world of industrial capital equipment markets.
JVC Promotes Executive
JVC Professional Products Co. said this week that it has promoted Hajime Yamasaki as the new vice president of its security division. A 20-year veteran of the company, Yamasaki will oversee the security division’s product strategy, planning, sales and marketing aspects.
Ultralink Names New Rep
Ultralink/XLO announced Wednesday that it has named JPSales Group as its new manufacturers’ representative for the upstate New York area. JPSales has been active in the area for more than 30 years.
Yamaha Promotes Two VPs
Yamaha Corporation of America this week announced the promotion of a pair of executives, Rick Young and Tom Sumner, to the position of senior vice president. The move is concurrent with the retirement of Executive Vice President Terry Lewis, who will depart the company at the end of the month.
Linear Names Hokunson
Linear LLC announced Monday that it has named Todd Hokunson to the position of vice president of sales for electronic systems. Hokunson is a 15-year sales veteran, and worked most recently for Danka Office Imaging.
