Sirius Satellite Radio has agreed to a deal with the home networking specialists Sonos to make the network’s programming available in home networks, without the need for radio hardware or computer, for the first time ever.
The system works through Sirius Internet Radio, which is now available for Sonos subscribers.
The subscription to Sirius Internet Radio will be available for $2.99 per month for existing Sirius subscribers, and $12.95 for new ones. Software updates are frequently available free of charge.
A demonstration of how the system works has been posted on Sonos’ Web site, at www.sonos.com/demos/sirius_demo
