CEDIA Promotes Luke Amos to Senior Director of Education
CEDIA has announced the promotion of Luke Amos to the position of Senior Director of Education. In this role, Luke will be responsible for guiding and overseeing the development of CEDIA education and certification content.
One of the current initiatives of the CEDIA education team is to align education programs to meet the needs of new and seasoned home technology professionals.
"CEDIA has done extensive research digging into the training needs of our home technology professional members. The end goal for us is to be able to provide development pathways to help company owners and individual employees alike move to the next level," Tabatha O'Connor, CEDIA COO, said in a statement.
"Luke's excellent understanding of both member needs and instructional development and design will help the CEDIA education team accomplish these goals."
Amos was hired by CEDIA in 2012 as the Director of Online Learning where he worked with volunteer subject matter experts to create and curate online coursewear and resource documents. He produced over 50 small and full-length eCourses for the CEDIA resource library during this time.
Amos has a Masters in Communication Sciences from Ball State University and is A+, Net+ and PMP certified. He also has a certificate in distance education from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis.
Prior to joining CEDIA, Luke was a Multimedia Associate at DWA Healthcare Communications Group.
As a result of Amos’ promotion, Dave Pedigo will transition to focusing exclusively on emerging technologies and his title has been updated to Senior Director of Emerging Technologies. Pedigo will be in charge of programs that seek to identify emerging technologies and determine their impact on the channel.
