CEDIA EXPO Course of the Day: The Power of Sync in Networked Consumer Audio
Each day, we’re going to be featuring a specific CEDIA course that you can take at CEDIA EXPO in October.
Today’s entry is The Power of Sync in Networked Consumer Audio, instructed by Greg Schlechter of the AVnu Alliance and JB Fowler of Control4.
Today consumers own more personal devices than ever. They have a desire to use their wireless network to exchange data and distribute digital content among their many devices. Significant effort has been put into discovery, interoperability, media format compatibility, and stream quality, as well as advancing security, speed, and overall bandwidth of the network foundation. Learn how adding foundational support to the network to manage time-sensitive audio and video streams is the last critical piece toward a truly converged network for consumers and their content.
The Class Number is EST094-1, it provides 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU), and it takes place Thursday, October 15, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
A la carte, this course costs $105 for CEDIA members and $150 for non-members. However, CEDIA is offering the CEDIA Training Pass for $529, which gives you access to an unlimited number of training courses with the exception of certification exams, the Design Documents: Creating AV System Blueprint Drawings Workshop, and the CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) “Train the Trainer” Workshop.
