CEDIA EXPO Course of the Day: Platforms, Devices & Interoperability in the Smart Home
Each day, we’re going to be featuring a specific CEDIA course that you can take at CEDIA EXPO in October.
Today’s entry is Platforms, Devices & Interoperability in the Smart Home, instructed by Sujata Neidig of Thread Group.
For the Internet of Things to become a reality and ensure its successful mass adoption, companies need a protocol that improves network architecture and is low-power, secure, and scalable. This class examines the current state of the efforts to achieve interoperability across devices in the home and discusses the technical roadblocks that have prevented widespread adoption and how to address those challenges.
The Class Number is EST092-1, it provides 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU), and it takes place Friday, October 16, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
A la carte, this course costs $105 for CEDIA members and $150 for non-members. However, CEDIA is offering the CEDIA Training Pass for $529, which gives you access to an unlimited number of training courses with the exception of certification exams, the Design Documents: Creating AV System Blueprint Drawings Workshop, and the CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) “Train the Trainer” Workshop.
