CEDIA EXPO Course of the Day: Challenges of 4K Distribution
Each day, we’re going to be featuring a specific CEDIA course that you can take at CEDIA EXPO in October.
Today’s entry is Challenges of 4K Distribution, instructed by Rob Carter of Crestron Electronics.
This class discusses how resolutions, frame rates, color models, and color depth affect data rates and, ultimately, system design and performance. Topics include upscaling HD signals for display on 4K UHD TVs, downscaling 4K UHD content for display on HD TVs, the impact of cabling and HDCP technology, and more!
The Class Number is EST096-1, it provides 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and it takes place Friday, October 16, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
A la carte, this course costs $140 for CEDIA members and $200 for non-members. However, CEDIA is offering the CEDIA Training Pass for $529, which gives you access to an unlimited number of training courses with the exception of certification exams, the Design Documents: Creating AV System Blueprint Drawings Workshop, and the CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) “Train the Trainer” Workshop.
