CEDIA Chairman Vaughan Dies
CEDIA Chairman Randy Vaughan passed away Dec. 23 after an illness, CEDIA announced Monday.
Vaughan, a 40-year industry veteran who founded AE Systems Home Automation and Entertainment in Portsmouth, Va., was named CEDIA chairman in September.
"On behalf of the CEDIA family, I offer our sincerest condolences to Randy's wife, Mary, his children, his granddaughter, and his family and friends. He will be greatly missed," CEDIA CEO Utz Baldwin said in a statement. A memorial service will take place Thursday, Dec. 30, at First Lutheran Church, 1301 Colley Ave., Norfolk, Va. at 11 a.m. Vaughn's family has requested that donations be given to Bon Secours Maryview Foundation, 3636 High St., Portsmouth, Va. 23707; The Elizabeth River Project, Admirals Landing, 475 Water St., Suite 103-A, Portsmouth, Va. 23704; First Lutheran Church, 1301 Colley Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23517; or the education program at NSCA.
