CEDIA announces Vincent Bruno as its new CEO
On Friday, CEDIA announced that it has hired industry veteran Vincent Bruno as its new CEO. The move comes less than a month before the association is set to kick off its annual CEDIA Expo at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas.
Bruno joins CEDIA having served for the last seven years as the marketing director for Creston Electronics. In that role, Bruno led the company’s global marketing strategy. He currently is a member of the Consumer Electronics Association’s TechHome Division Board of Directors. He also had stints at a number of technology companies, including VCOM International Multimedia Corporation and Tower Product Inc.
"In addition to his passion for the industry, Vin has excellent global business development and leadership experience," Tabatha O'Connor, CEDIA COO, said in a statement. "The Board of Directors believes that he will be successful in creating and guiding a strategic vision for the organization and in positioning CEDIA members as trusted professionals with important stakeholders."
Bruno replaces Don Gilpin, who last year announced his intention to step down as the association’s executive director at the end of 2015.
