In answer to integrators’ growing interest in outdoor and commercial solutions, AudioControl showed an expanded line of amplifiers – the CM 70-volt series – at its CEDIA 2018 booth; they’ll be available in Q4, said the company.
The amps are U.S.-made and are rated at an all-channels-driven 750 watts per channel – fully capable of delivering content to a large number of speakers. The CM Series also offer the convenience of DSP control and signal matrixing for precise, zone-by-zone tailoring. The amps, further, are flexible in that they support dual-mode functionality, which means they are capable of simultaneous 70v and 8-ohm operation on selected channels.
Also shown was the new Avalon 4/3/2-channel amp that is able to drive the height channels as part of an immersive sound system, said AudioControl. It is 2U rack space in size and offers switchable 110/220-volt operation.
The company’s Rialto 400 amp has had feature enhancements which include a smart-switching auxiliary input that can override both digital and analog inputs when it sense a signal. The user can then use voice commands via Amazon’s Echo or Google Voice to ask the 400 to pause either input.
