CEA will host its first eCommerce Marketplace at CES 2016
The Consumer Electronics Association will, for the first time, showcase a number of digital revolutions ranging from mobile banking to ordering pizza with an emoji at CES 2016. The eCommerce Marketplace, presented by MasterCard is the “one-stop showcase for the most innovative solutions disrupting the traditional consumer shopping experience,” the organization explained in a statement.
“The eCommerce industry is transforming the way companies do business and interact with consumers,” Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA, said in a statement. “The innovations in this industry are next-level and the possibilities are endless. We are so excited to experience the future of eCommerce at CES 2016.”
And on top of the new eCommerce Marketplace, CES and Living in Digital Times will debut the Digital Money Forum, presented by MasterCard. This half-day conference will look into the myriad financial tools and solutions that are helping to digitize the dollars and bills consumers carry around, including e-wallets, mobile payments, and digital currency. The content of the half-day event, set amidst the backdrop of CES 2016, is aimed at retail and manufacturers, government agencies and regulators, financial services and banking organizations, high-tech developers, press, investors, and transaction processors.
The eCommerce Marketplace will be located within Tech East, not far from the Cyber & Personal Security Marketplace, presented by CyberVista, which CEA said helps to create a “powerful and dynamic synergy between the two industries.”
CES 2016 will run from January 6-9 in Las Vegas.
