Catalyst AV Member Custom Plus Distributing Opens Two Locations in One Year, Celebrates 30 Years in Business
Building on 30 years of success, Catalyst AV member Custom Plus Distributing, who supplies consumer electronics to specialty dealers in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Montana, Hawaii, Northern California and Western Nevada, has opened a fifth location after opening a fourth earlier this year.
Said Oliver Marketing and Custom Plus Distributing President Bob Oliver, “With opening a new corporate headquarters in Auburn as well as a new branch in Bellevue, Washington within six months it took a solid team. We are fortunate to have so many good people within the organization that we could pull it off seamlessly.
“With the help of my son Reece, he recommended huddle rooms for meetings and break rooms with Sony 4K TVs that allow all employees to have a nice work environment. It's paying; business is up double digit over last year already and we haven't come close to hitting our max growth.
“We are able to offer our customers 5 different locations to will call product. We can have product delivered directly to the job site which is a huge value add for our customers. Customers can order directly from our web site and have a choice to pick up same day or have it delivered.
“I felt the need for another smaller more unique location in Bellevue, Washington where we could have all of our usual products in a shopping set-up closer to our Bellevue, eastside dealers and integrators, to provide them with even more choice when it came to receiving their inventory.
“We also just recently expanded into Southern California with 12 volt products with plans to add CI soon. We know our customers have several choices when it comes to buying products. Custom Plus wants to be their primary choice. So we offer the top brands like Sony, Sonos, Sonance, Lutron and other quality brands. Training and support is our top priority at Custom Plus; we offer state of the art training as well as our convenient will call locations hence the new Bellevue location.

To celebrate the 30-year milestone, Custom Plus held an anniversary party in August at their Auburn location; with plenty of live music, pre-season football and a bouncy castle for the kids. Concluded Bob, “Our distribution company has earned the business of over 5,000 active accounts, and warranted the move to this new 48,000 square foot warehouse facility in March of 2016.”
