Business Chops Tip #133: Do Your Customers Really Want To Buy From You?
We hear more about "showrooming" these days: end-users who "shop" at one store only to buy online or from your competitor. Is their experience worth
time and gas money vs. waiting for an online purchase to be received? For a few customers (the dreaded price hunters), the answer is yes.
Most customers would rather buy from you if you helped them want to. In-store experience, convenience, and the ability to "take it home now" play important roles in the decision process‹not just price. If they feel good about you, they are more likely to want to buy from you.
