Bryston announces it will manage international distribution of Target speaker stands
Bryston, a manufacturer of a wide range of audio equipment, announced on Monday that it will begin exclusively offering Target speaker stands through its domestic and international sales channel.
Target Audio, a Canadian-based manufacturing company of speaker stands founded in 1981, builds stands for loudspeakers of all price categories. Each stand, the company explains, is constructed of hot-rolled steel, bolts securely together, and is finished with a rugged powder coat that ensures “years of elegant durability.”
Target offers four lines of stands that are designed for both shelf and stand-mount loudspeakers—the Firm Stand (FS) Series, Heavy Stand (HS) Series, High Rigidity (HR) Series, and Maximum Rigidity (MR) Series—and each series is offered in 20, 24, and 28-inch heights. They also include threaded spikes and pads that isolate the speaker from the top plate, and each stand can be filled with dry media like a sand or metal shot to provide “superior resonance damping.”
“We recognized an opportunity to work with a manufacturer of quality products with a factory based right here in Ontario, Canada—and there seemed to be a natural synergy, especially with Bryston offering the Mini A and Mini T loudspeakers that work superbly with these rugged Target stands,” James Tanner, VP of sales at Bryston, explained in a statement. “We are looking at expanding the Target offerings in the near future to include equipment stands and other accessories that will provide A/V specialty retailers with a comprehensive lineup of premium solutions for their customers.”
