Brady to Leave Vantage/Legrand for Religious Mission
Vantage/Legrand Executive Vice President Richard B. Brady will leave the lighting control/home automation manufacturer this month to preside over the California Carlsbad Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Vantage/Legrand said it was made aware of Brady’s pending departure early this year and “has been implementing a plan to transition his responsibilities to others on the Vantage/Legrand team.”
“Richard’s decision was received with mixed emotions,” said Vantage/Legrand President Ron Wilson. “We are excited about the new opportunities and challenges that are ahead of him, but we will miss his steady influence, positive attitude and sincere dedication to Vantage/Legrand.”
Brady joined Vantage Controls in 2000 was a key player in its acquisition by Legrand North America last year.
“The innovation and excitement within the company is tremendous and there is a bright future ahead,” said Brady. “However, my wife and I consider this unexpected Church assignment to be a sacred responsibility. Therefore, we are pleased to serve, even though I must leave the company for a period of time.”
