Bluesound partners with MQA, offers live demonstrations at CES
Wireless multi-room digital audio brand, Bluesound, has announced a technology partnership with Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) to offer studio quality sound exactly as the artist intended. Bluesound will have a live demonstration at their suite at The Venetian throughout CES.
Bluesound is a smart music system of audiophile-grade wireless speakers and digital players that allows users to stream music to every room in their home via a smartphone, tablet and desktop app.
MQA is an end-to-end technology that delivers audio in a file that’s small enough to stream or download. It’s fully authenticated, with the intention of letting listeners hear exactly what the artist recorded and approved in the studio.
“Music is important to us all, and being able to connect listeners with the artist’s original studio recording through Bluesound is incredibly exciting,” Bob Stuart, MQA’s creator, said in a statement. “Never before have listeners been able to enjoy MQA’s studio quality music like they can with Bluesound’s line of wireless multi-room speakers and digital music players.”
“MQA is at the very forefront of digital audio, and we’re proud to lead the way for wireless multi-room systems to support MQA’s lossless audio files,” Greg Stidsen, Bluesound Director of Technology and Product Planning, also said in a statement. “Fusing Bluesound’s proprietary BluOS software and advanced audio architecture, with MQA’s scientific approach to digital processing, makes it possible for listeners to stream authentic Studio Master recordings in real time with enhanced audio quality.” Stidsen added, “Existing Bluesound products, including first generation, will be upgraded to be MQA-ready via a firmware update, at no charge.”
In addition to the Bluesound MQA demonstration, parent company Lenbrook will also be showing products from Bluesound, NAD and PSB at The Venetian (34-204) throughout CES from January 6-9th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
