Beale Street Audio unveiled its first Left/Center/Right Channel (LCR) loudspeaker. The super-slim, two-way in-wall “Pancake” LCR speaker measures less than three inches deep and was designed to fit shallow wall spaces without compromising sound quality.
The LCR Pancake series will be available in two models, one for the Beale Street Audio line (the IPLCR4-BB), and one for the Xpress line (BXPLCR401). Powered by the company’s signature Sonic Vortex technology, both models feature a depth of two and three-quarter inches. The Beale Street Audio line features a one-inch aluminum tweeter and dual four-inch ribbed injected polypropylene woofers. Both models achieve a frequency response of 62Hz to 20Hz with a sensitivity of 92 decibels.
Beale Street Audio explained that both lines can be installed vertically or horizontally depending on the application as a left, center, right, around a flat panel screen, as a stereo pair, or even as an in-wall rear channel.
“Expanding on our recently launched Pancake Series, we are excited to release one of the thinnest LCR speakers on the market,” Mark Cichowski, Executive Director of Beale Street Audio, said in a statement. “Based on customer feedback, we’ve created an LCR that can fit in virtually any wall, even where space is limited, and we’ve combined that design with Sonic Vortex technology inside to add enhanced performance and sound for an amazing, flexible LCR loudspeaker.”
The Beale Street Audio line is available dealer direct only through Beale, and the Xpress line is available through the authorized distributor channel.
