Bang and Olufsen Brings New TVs For U.S. Tour
Danish high-end CE manufacturer Bang and Olufsen launched a tour Thursday, bringing its latest BeoVision TV line to North America.
The exclusive tour, with an art theme reflecting the slim and beautiful design of the 40-inch BeoVision 10, began at the River East Art Center in Chicago and will hit 4 more events in New York, Los Angeles, Washington and San Francisco.
The tour's offical champagne sponser, Dom Perignon, will be featured at the events, as will B&O's brand partner Aston Martin, which will be displaying a special addition of its flagship DBS Carbon Black for the first time in the US. Guests can enter to win a bottle of Dom Perignon's Vintage 2000 champagne or a weekend loan of an Aston Martin.
The BeoVision 10 presents a full-HD picture and uses LED technology, making possible the slim artistic design. According to their Web site, in order to provide quality sound with the challenge of the ultra slim TV, Bang and Olufsen's acoustic engineers added a "genuine active two-way stereo loudspeaker system and a centre bass with a creative bass port design."
Available in North American showrooms by summer 2010 in six colors, the BeoVision 10 has an MSRP starting at $6248. A version that includes a wall bracket, Beo4 remote and upgraded antireflective screen, will sell for $7,675.
