Avoid Paralysis by Analysis
Every major change in our lives is prefaced by uncertainty. Those who are willing to accept the challenge and strike out into the wilderness change their realities and advance their places in the world. The amazing thing is that the more often you take those risks, the less frightening the process becomes. Often the grim outcomes we imagine, should we fail, are just that—products of our imagination. In our minds, we create some huge, ugly results of our failures, should they happen, and thoughts of those failures freeze us in our tracks. We simply choose easier paths and close the door to opportunity.
Start small. Pick a few simple steps you want to take beyond your comfort zone and stride out. If you fall, you might skin your knee or bump your head, but the pain will usually be less than you expected.
When you succeed, you will embolden your soul and make it easier to take the risk the next time. The more often you go through the process, the more courage you'll build and the greater the gains you'll make.
Remember, bravery is not the lack of fear. It is the willingness to act in spite of it.
Go ahead, take the risk. Stick your neck out.
We'll meet you at the top!
