Audio manufacturer Klipsch Group Inc., which owns the Klipsch, Jamo and Energy audio brands, is announcing a strategic alliance with AVAD, LLC. in order to “solidify and expand distribution throughout North America and Canada.” AVAD will now be the primary US and exclusive CA distributor for Jamo audio systems, a “designer speaker brand that combines modern aesthetics, advanced technologies and natural sound.
In addition, the two companies are planning to revive the “Energy” brand by “introducing a diverse portfolio of quality speakers and related product solutions tailored to the custom integrator market” in 2018 that will be available exclusively through AVAD. AVAD are well-known for their use of adaptive strategy and business model in order to expand across North America with 22 locations as well as 230 AVAD depots.
Paul Jacobs, president and CEO of Klipsch Group, Inc. stated that “No one else in the market offers the solutions that AVAD does for integrators. They have evolved to become the preeminent supplier of high performance products”. Jon Zabel, VP of vendor management at AVAD agreed, noting that “This partnership is another example of the “new AVAD” adding value for our dealers through best-in-class brand partners” and that “this move reinforces AVAD as the premier solutions provider in the market.” This deal may be help integrators “to compete and succeed in this ever-evolving industry” as Jacobs put it.
