AVAD Adds AMX Audio, Video and Control Solutions
AVAD has announced the distribution launch of AMX, an audio and video solution provider, to business, education and government markets.
According to AVAD, the distribution launch with AMX will give AVAD dealers access to the latest meeting room and presentation control devices, including HydraPort, NetLinx and Modero, amongst other AMX technology.
AMX systems are comprised of control and automation, system-wide switching and AV signal distribution, digital signage and technology management.
The HydraPort from AMX is an audio and visual table box that retracts to provide users with connectivity solutions with HDMI, VGA, USB and other formats. Users can create a custom HydraPort with varying sizes, including HPX-600, HPX-900, HPX-1200 and HPX-1600 and interchangeable modules to accommodate Ethernet, USB, HDMI, VGA and AC power. This includes a multi-region power module that fits most international power plugs.
NetLinx NX Series Central Controllers
AMX’s NetLinx NX Series Central Controllers run the code that communicates to the control system with commands and responses from the user interfaces.
Available with varying port sizes, including NX-1200, NX-2200, NX-3200 and NX-4200, the controllers are designed to control AV and building technology using multiple analog and digital formats.
Modero Touch Panels
Modero Touch Panels from AMX are control interfaces that allow users to interact with technology within a meeting or conference room. Available as a table-top or wall-mounted, the Modero Series offers panel sizes and price points through its two lines of control panels, the Modero X line and the Modero S line.
The Modero X panels integrate new features into the touch panels by adding new apps to allow users to video conference, view documents and calendars, browse the web or check the weather.
The Modero S panels includes features that let users operate AV equipment with an intuitive, gesture-based interface.
“We are pleased to provide AMX and their state-of-the-art technology to our distributors in the United States,” Jeff Neilson, vendor business manager for AVAD, said in a statement.
“We feel that our dealers will both benefit and enjoy working with innovative technology within the HydraPort, NetLinx and Modero lines and the flexibility they provide.”
