ADA Introduces 50/500 Program
Audio Design Associates last week announced the introduction of the 50/500 program, which the company calls the industry's first Multi-Room Upgrade and Trade-In Program. Aimed at dealers, the program will provide credits to customers turning in old keypads and mainframes.
The program will grant $50 towards a new ADA touch screen for customers turning in legacy keypads, and $500 in credits towards a new ADA multi-room system for those turning in 8-zone mainframes.
“While upgrade programs are common in home theater, I have never seen one offered for multi-room simply because today’s systems can’t operate on legacy wiring," ADA vice president and COO Richard Stoerger said as part of the announcement. "In this economy, while consumers might consider upgrading their multi-room system, they typically toss out the idea when confronted with the costs and mess associated with pulling new wire.”
