At New York Intro, Vizio Shows the Art of Ultra HD
On Tuesday night, hours after formally announced its new P-Series line of affordable Ultra HD TVs- its first major foray into the Ultra HD market- Vizio hosted a media event at Manhattan's Bertrand Delacroix Gallery.
The event featured the entire line of the new P-Series models, as well as demos of their functionality, including "shootouts" with rival Samsung models, as well as upscaling and streaming capabilities. The displayed TV models featured "Moving Art" work from the noted artist Louie Schwartzberg.
The full name of the line is the P-Series Ultra HD Full-Array LED Smart TV collection. It consists of models in the 50-, 55-, 60-, 65- and 70-inch screen sizes, with the 50-inch model starting at the very-low-for-Ultra-HD price of $999.99. The largest model is just under $2,500.
Full pricing for the entire line:
VIZIO 50” P-Series Ultra HD Full-Array LED Smart TV (P502ui-B1) $999.99
VIZIO 55” P-Series Ultra HD Full-Array LED Smart TV (P552ui-B2) $1,399.99

The new P-Series joins Vizio's established entry-level E-Series and mid-level M-Series.
