AHA Distributing sets up shop in Charlotte
It enters a crowded market, with SnapAV headquartered there, and branches from ADI, AVAD and Tri-Ed already vying for integrator customers.
AHA touts its site as "the area’s largest assortment of premier CEDIA lines and staffed by regionally-known custom AV experts." Kim Brown is the general manager, Zach Simpson and Mike Moreno are the regional account managers and Johnny (JJ) Jackson is warehouse manager.
The facility, located at 3140 Yorkmont Road, features demo and training rooms, a warehouse club shopping environment, after-hours pick-up and next-day delivery to North and South Carolina. AHA will feature 80 brands at the site, and its sister company, rep firm Aim High Audio Sales, will also display product lines at the facility. The doors open at 7:30 a.m. on August 10.
“During the 5 years that AHA has been servicing the Carolinas, we’ve experienced growth that has doubled from year-to-year, so the demand was more than warranted for us to move in,” said AHA founder and CEO Chris Gilray. “Having brick-and-mortar in Charlotte also greatly benefits those direct-to-manufacturer dealers that purchase through our rep firm Aim High Audio, as now they too have a destination to access these great lines and in-person support.”
